![]() The most charitable thing that can be said about the game's performance is that Postal 4 is still in alpha. 90% of the time they're completely unreadable, and when you enable the built-in "fix" for the problem, performance tanks even worse. The levels don't look that much better than Postal 2, a game that is now 18 years old. Even worse is that the game looks about as good as it runs. The first thing you'll notice about the game is probably the fact that it runs like total arse, probably fitting since the graphical settings have been renamed from "low" to "buttsauce". It's good to see that the Postal series managed to stay classy since that one tweet. You'll be transported right back into your teenage years if your teenage years were spent laughing at South Park and Drawn Together. It won't be long before you're cringing yourself stupid over the kind of jokes you would have found funny several years, and millions of brain cells earlier in your development. From start to finish Postal 4 is filled with gross-out humor, sexual references, and buckets of violence left, right, and center. More than that, it's a first-person shooter that is "edgy". Postal 4: No Regerts is much like the last two Postal titles in that it's a first-person shooter. After about 24 years Postal 4: No Regerts is finally about to make its debut, and will this one manage to be as shocking and controversial as the original? Probably not. One of the most well-known controversy-driven games was Postal, an arcade-esque murder simulator that was Hatred before that game was even a glimmer in an edgelord's eye. Back in the day, Dead Space 2 tried to force controversy by having one of the least-liked advertising campaigns of all time, and Acclaim basically only used controversy for their marketing. The game is developed by ‘Running With Scissors,’ and is highly popular on Steam with over 6000 positive reviews, despite officially being classed as “one of the worst games ever.Controversy can be a great selling point for video games. The game also includes fun features such as interacting with your dog and comprehensive ability combos. ‘Postal 4 No Regerts’ features a wide range of different quests, weapons, vehicles, and equipment that you can use. Or a million other quirky things that cover the open world of ‘Postal 4 No Regerts.’ Watch out so that you don’t blow yourself up with short long fuses, or that you don’t fall through any holes that look like they’re covered up. You must take on challenges and missions, complete errands, and fight enemies in a town where nothing is as it seems, and not even the laws of physics seem to behave in their normal fashion! It is filled with hostiles and all sorts of strange phenomena. The town turns out to be a nightmare of sorts. Going ham on protestors with gasoline and matches. You appear to have spotted a town in the distance that could hold the potential of a brighter future for you. Unluckily for you, but perhaps luckily for everyone else, your car and all your possessions are stolen during a refueling stop, so you and Champ are left to fend for yourselves without the luxury of a vehicle…Īs you wander about aimlessly, a glimmer on the horizon catches your eye and you decide to investigate. As it happens, you are the lucky guy or girl who gets to take control of the POSTAL Dude and live out his miserable existence. Now the funny thing is, neither of them has a clue where to go or what to do next. At the start of the game, you get to pick which of the 3 POSTAL Dudes you wish to be based on their skills and abilities. ‘Postal 4 No Regerts’ takes place sometime after the small town known as ‘Paradise’ in Arizona is completely obliterated. Now imagine everywhere you look, everything is just wrong! If you have OCD like me, all it takes is a set of lines that aren’t perfectly parallel and the moment is ruined. The game title itself contains a spelling error, and you best believe, it is the first of many…īlowing off heads with a revolver. ‘Postal 4 No Regerts’ is a satirical comedy filled with oddities and annoying little mistakes.
